Try installing the monitor drivers if you have not done that. You will be supprised at what it will fix sometimes. I recently ran across it when having dual monitors installed around here. There was a line like the old wire line in Sony trinitron monitors appearing on the lcd's

Changed every setting trying different things to make them go away nothing worked. Installed monitor driver and bam monitor works great no lines.

Even though most monitors work, some will do weird things without the driver. IBM and Dell are two of them I have seen this issue with.

...I still like my 21" CRT

I plan on using it as a port-a-potty when it finally gives in. It doubles as a space heater, and when I get lonely I can cuddle up with it at night.

You might want to up your refresh rate then.

DEAD PIXELS?
What are these things you speak of?

I have had four LCDs and every one has been perfect! In fact the one I'm looking at right now, in work, is great! And no tears, no headaches and no heat.
It's also environmentally friendly....
:D

ps: trinitron > *[/quote]

I had a 21" trinitron, doesnt matter, im sensitive to it and no matter the refresh rate i got terrible headaches. Switch to LCD, none.

My Dell is 24" and if there is a dead pixel, I sure dont notice it. :)
