Over heating problem
I have a bit of a problem. My computer is suddenly over heating. I have cleaned my heatsink and it's fan, put down new thermal paste, and the heatsink is made of copper. I have 2 case fans (one in back, one on the side) and a PCI slot fan. Any ideas what may be wrong?

blow the dust out of your power supply. If that doesnt help, check your voltages. You will want to replace your power supply before it fries something more important in your system.

Dude that could be any number of random things. One time my PC was rebooting out of nowhere for no reason with no apparent pattern. After many hours of fruitless troubleshooting, I figured out it was the little micro switch on the case itself was sticky.... it would hold itself down for 3 seconds...

If nothing else works, replace that power supply

hmmmm well DJ, i think its not your CPU over heating, there is a chance it could be you north or southbridge chip overheating. Have you done any overclocking? ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm check all your capacitors just to be safe, incase you blown one of em. Unlikely though. Im relly not entirely so sure what it could be... im still workin out why my 8800 Ultras in SLI are gettin 150 less FPS than they should be.
