A problem with firefox??? LIES!

Post by Element » Sun Dec 02, 2007 5:39 pm

Ok, so apparently something is up with regards to firefox and theville website... Every time I try to go to the site, it freezes and I have to alt-tab-delete and get rid of it. And this only happens for the ville web site... I hate IE and would rather not have to use it to get here... :'( That and IE has its own set of problems...

hmmm thats interesting I think a majority of the villuns here use firefox. Maybe it's something in your settings thats stopping it from loading. Firefox is all I use and never had any issue's loading up TheVille and if I did I would make sure I figured out what was stopping it...lol. Try deleting all your cookies, files and history and see if tyhat helps. Sometimes a bad cookie will cause these issue's.

I've been running Firefox since v 0.7, and I've never had any problems with websites.
Maybe try disabling extensions and see if that clears it up. If it does, then enable them one at a time until it acts up again, then you'll know which extension needs updated/permanently disabled.

BTW, IE doesn't have issues................it *IS* the issue! :D  :P

Try uninstalling some addons. It's probably a corrupt addon or plugin.

Funny you should mension that. Before my computers took a shower both of my Firefoxs on both of my systems, had trouble with Theville.org It only happened during one day, and what happened was that it would register the website name but then it would not load and time out. It fixed itself apparently though, so now I don't have any issues.

Maybe disable addons/extensions, or clear your cache.

Firefox is all I use.

So maybe an uninstall and reinstall might be in order...

Yeah I use FireFox and have never had a porblem here.

Like someone said earlier, probably a currupt addon or something.

Ok, I'll try some of those suggestions. Just FYI, one of the problems I have with IE7 is that when I try to close an IE window, an error message pops up every time and will close all of the windows I have up. So whenever I use IE, I have to make sure that I'm done with absolutely everything I have up before closing the IE window... It's a real pain. :'(

In that case, maybe you should copy Yev, and pour water on your machine.....
