Can anyone tell me what would be a good surge protector. About half of mine went belly up  last night while I was playing

If you want a expensive one that does an awesome job distributing power evenly:

Your hands down best deal that is still good:

Your basic run-of-the-mill power strip:

Personally...I'd go with the middle one. Not too pricey, and not too cheap (not just per price). The coax in/out is very handy for protecting the power in your coax cable line as well. Worth it in my opinion.

Make sure you check it's specs too. Most are rated of how much voltage and amperage (I think, or it could be wattage) they can withstand.

I have the second one Mujo posted. It seems to be working pretty well...

Would it not be better to get a UPS. That way the voltage is regulated + and -. Plus you get the serge protection as well. You are not really worried about up time so a cheaper one may be a better option. I will admit I haven't looked a surge protectors in a long time because I use UPS' now.

Also I have noticed Furman has released some low cost units that would do the same thing without the UPS function for around $30-$50 bucks. These are rack mount units but they are great units.
