So an 850 can do this?

That is plenty of power

I had a "talking BIOS" on one of my boards, once. If something was wrong, a quiet voice would say the problem. For example, the first time I put the board in and powered it up, I heard a voice from the ether say "CPU fan failure." CPU fan was plugged in to the aux slot instead of CPU slot, so the system picked up the lack of return signal and gave me the warning.
And we've been downgraded back to beeps? No fair!

Yeah, I dunno what happened to those, figured they were pretty useful. That was on an old P4C800-Deluxe. My P5N72T-Premium's got nothing like that, nor have any of the others of the P5 or P6 line I've looked at. Must have been either a pain to do, or just not popular enough to justify the tiny incremental cost, or something.

Thank you all. Even though my dad has long since have figured it out, I am also happy to know that I comprehend what was going on. Learning is good, right? :D

We are temporarily running on a GE Force 6600, and for what it's worth, it's an alright alternative for the two weeks it takes for the old 480 to reach EVGA in SoCal, and come back here to SoDak.

Ghetto Cruiser has gone through much suffering in its years, and it survived yet another injury with a faulty video card. HUZZAH

(YES. Ghetto Cruiser is its name. Because the cas is so old and doesn't even ahve any cover panels on, just naked metal. That, and the fact that its a server-tower case that was purchased back in about '01. xD By looks, it's ugly, but performance is oh-so smooth, well intentionally anyways. )
