BC2 process doesn't terminate when I quit

When I exit Bad Company 2 the process keeps running, which is why it may look like I'm in BC2 many more hours than I am. Any ideas on what could be behind this? I have to close it manually from task manager.

I have the same problem. Sometimes I forget that it does this and leave it running. So I end up having massive amounts of hours in BC2.

Is this happening with just BC2 or any other Steam (or non Steam) games?
XP? Vista? Win7?
When did it start happening, or has it always done this?
What is the square root of pi?

As far as I can find this has to do with either:
A) The game being run as Admin and then the user account not being able to terminate the process. So maybe try turning UAC completely off.
Or
B) A problem with nVidia drivers. Not sure how that could cause this but try updating your drivers.

I've also found that some people have disabled Xfire talk (in BC2 options) and this has resolved the process not terminating issue.
