in game browser issues with theville.org
Am I the only one having the following problem: If I go to theville.org from the in game steam WWW browser, windows automatically switches to the desktop for a java.script error?
Any way around the issue ? It would be cool to activate reserved slots from in-game.

I have the new Reserved Slots system very nearly completed. It runs from the In-Game browser and is a one click operation.
It will decide whether to open a slot or not, by looking at the server but connect you anyway.
The only requirement is that you have to be logged into the Ville and have "remember me" clicked....

So, supporters can connect to a server thats full and it boots a player for you automatically without going through the Ville website first? Through what are we supposed to login to the Ville? Would an active session in my FireFox browser be valid?
If so:

No.
I forgot. We've been discussing this in the Supporters forum and I meant to mention it here too.
The new method is quicker, although we are still having issues with one or two for whom IE Alt-Tabs them back out again, for some reason. You shouldn't have to Alt-Tab any more because you are already in the browser.
If you go to http://rs.theville.org via the in-game browser, and you are not logged in, it will ask you to. I would click "Automatically..." so it remembers you. It will store the log and password in IE.
Alternatively, you can go into IE, log into the Ville, set it to remember your password, then forget about it. Then next time you to the in-game browser, it will remember your login and password and take you straight to the Reserved Slots page.
Firefox is totally separate.
If you go to http://rs.theville.org and you do not have Supporter status, you won't get access. It will bring you to the Donate page!

I've changed the Reserved Slot System a little, to take into account Valve's Steam overlay browser (aka IE7) while in-game.
It makes joining a server MUCH easier now.
STAGE 1
Open up your game

STAGE 2
Open up the web browser (press the key or keys you usually use to open up the Community page). At the bottom there is a button for 'Web'. Click on this. It usually opens up a Google page.

STAGE 3
In the Address bar at the top, type:
rs.theville.org
which should open this page:

Scroll down to the server you want to join and click Connect
STAGE 4
The system will do two things.
It will open a Reserved Slot (if it is needed) and will automatically begin joining the game.

Then simply leave the Web page and join the game.
KNOWN ISSUES
1. You must be logged in to TheVille.Org.
2. It uses Internet Explorer....
