recieved a steam game as a gift

I recieved a steam game as a gift. I assumed it would automatically go into the mygames section of steam in the not downloaded area. It is not there though, and I cannot find it anywhere.

What do I do?

I think you have to go to the store and claim it...


assuming the person gifted it to the right account.

Resent the Gifts via Gift management, 2 others havent redeemed theres yet either, those are also resent.

From Steam Support Gift FAQ

"If you do not already have Steam, follow the link in the email you received to download and install Steam. Once you have Steam installed, you will be prompted to create an account or login to an existing Steam account. If you do not have an account, please create one. A pop-up message will notify you that you have received a gift. You must click the "activate" link in Steam in order to redeem your gift. Once you have accepted the gift, you can download the game from the "My games" list."

So maybe if you don't see it, log out and back in?
