Controls "freeze up" on Laptop

Post by Guardian » Tue Dec 23, 2008 1:30 am

Recently I've run into an EXTREMELY annoying bug. Basically in both l4d and TF2 my controls freeze up for 1/2 second yet they repeat the order I gave last time.

Basically if I'm walking forward and freeze up and attempt to quickly back up, I will STILL be moving forwards.

This seems to happen at random and it's extremely annoying.

I'm 90% certain it has nothing to do with the game itself just the input for the keyboard and I'm clueless at where to even search for a clue on how to fix it.

Specs:

Manufacturer: Hewlett-Packard
Model: HP Pavilion dv6700 Notebook PC
Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU T5550 @ 1.83GHz
Memory(RAM): 3070 MB
System type: 32-bit Operating System

Running Windows Vista.

Your playing on a lap top???
Umm more than likely it your graphic interface check your Drivers for every thing make sure they are up to date

what server does this happen on???

run spy and virus check programs.

Wired or wireless net work connection you may be getting lagged from a wireless connection.

Like I said Check and up date your drivers and try it with a wired connection instead of wireless
