Firefox Logging Me Out

Post by Infusions » Wed Sep 03, 2008 1:17 pm

SO HEY I'm secretly retarded when it comes to all this computer, browser, software jazz thing and like.

Um.

Yeah. So Firefox is the only browser that constantly logs me out of signed in websites, even when I have the "automatically log me in" thing checked. Opera and Internet Explorer always keep me signed in, but Firefox doesn't.

Is there like, a way to make it so I don't have to obsessively press the LOG IN button every time I go on a website? :{

Tools menu - Options. click Security. is the 'remember passwords for sites' checked? Also, in Privacy, is 'accept cookies from sites' checked?

Both are checked, yes.

Whenever I log in, the password is already typed and stored but you know. I still get logged out whenever I close Firefox and re-open or after a certain period of time of being logged in.

what about the 2nd cookie option, 'accept 3rd party cookies'?

is 'Keep until:' set to 'they expire'?

This is happening to me as well and started to behave differently in the last couple of weeks.

I regularly log on from two different computers, and they seem to semi-randomly forget who I am despite the fact that I don't remove my cookies, &c.

I have to to set "they expire", but I don't see any "Accept 3rd Party Cookies" option.
