I know there is a sticky for this subject matter, but I thought this might be important.

Its time to come clean.
I had an addiction to FPS games, especially TF2. It seemed to be for the past 2 years.
I was in denial about these points:
* Feelings of anger and frustration when not allowed access to the video game
* Thinking about the next gaming session when not online
* Dreaming about the game
* Downplaying the impact of the excessive habits ("It's not as bad as alcohol addiction")
* Justifying excessive use ("Others play more than I do")
* Difficulty abstaining from video games for more than a few days
Looking back on it, I'm glad I stopped playing for 2 weeks.
Friends, I urge you, take note of these things, and dont deny them like I had done..
I'm happy to join the ranks of those who have broken an addiction.
Just thought I'd look after my fellow Internets
Addiction
Re: Addiction
You saw my post, I just came off a WoW addiction. I guess it doesn't matter what type of game it is, you can get addicted to any of them. I love playing TF2, I play it everyday, but what's nice about it is that you can stop. You aren't in the middle of a quest, or a 4 hour raid, you can join and leave whenever you want.
I think most of us are a little addicted to TF2 and other steam games, but for most of us it'll never begin to rule our lives like some other games can.
But hey Mr S, there's nothing wrong with a little moderation either. Don't stop making plans with friends for it.
But don't forget to come play with us too, we love you.

It's a long hard road coming to recover from World of Warcrack, but I hope you'll help me bare the load while I travel that road.
