Re: Formula One
Yeah, last season got kinda dull in the middle of the season since it was either mclaren or ferrari winning every race. But the end of the season was good for the drivers championship. I'm still waiting for Force India to get their first point, I think they have a lot of potential.
What is it about Finland that produces so many good drivers... Hakkinen, Raikkonen, Kovalainen, Keke Rosberg....

Re: Formula One
Hell yea I follow it. Has been a year of drama with FOTA and FIA. Sad to see what happened to Massa but on the bright side he will be okay and we get to see the legend Schumi once again. Can't wait for the European GP!
Re: Formula One
The wife and I are big F1 fans. We watch practice, quali and all of the races. In 2005 we went to catch the race in Montreal for the last year of the V10s. I really hope they bring that race back, it was a lot of fun, and Montreal is a great city in the summer. It is a pretty big deal there and has more of a European attitude towards F1.
This situation with Schumi coming back to fill in for Masa while he is recovering is pretty damn exciting. On one hand he has not driven in a couple of years. Has not driven these cars, and has not driven on the Valencia track. On the other hand it's Schumi! I can't wait to see how this goes down.

Re: Formula One
I would follow F1, but I find WRC more exciting, mostly because it doesn't take place on a closed loop track. Although I will watch the F1 races that involves rain.

Re: Formula One
WRC is also very cool. I just like the precision engineering of Formula 1. But I do watch WRC when I can find it on.

WRC is definitely exciting exciting to watch. It's really a shame that it is not broadcast in the US, but thanks to them intertubes I can still watch it. The drivers are no doubt awesome, but that navigator job certainly takes a special kind of person to do. I've watched WRC for a number of years and one thing that still strikes me as funny, because I don't know Italian, is that the Italian navigator always sounds like he's praying to me. F1 is a whole different bag. The technology is something else. The cars are freaking amazing 1300 or so pounds with driver with 700hp V8s hitting 18,000+ RPMs. The G-forces the drivers are subjected to from both turning and breaking. Equipment, driver and team all have to be running in top form to get to that podium. Different to WRC in some ways, but similar in others. To me both are equally exciting to watch.

its nice to see that red bull and brawn are shaking things up at the front. although now mclaren have a competitve car again i expect lewis to start flying up the leader board, in the second half of the season.

I expect Hamilton to win a few more races, but I don't think anyone is going to catch up to Jenson in the Driver's Championship
