What did you play? Snare/Quints/Bass?

ooooh, drumline. I played everything but cymbals and snare and bass are the best. Nothing better than a good bass line playing some sick splits.

In High School I played bass and was field commander
In college I have been a cymbal and loved every minute of it... NOT. Mostly it is because our director is an ass of the highest order.
One of my original online names was Quick_Strike. I still use it for some of my log on names on other sites. I think it was the name of a Transformer.
When I discovered the Ville back in 2003 my good friend was over at my house and we were enjoying a long night of Halo on Xbox and eventually dod on the computer. After buring playing Halo we decided to use Halo names in dod. Since I was more awesome I took the name [HALO]MasterChief and he took the name [HALO]Cpt. Keyes.
Then everynow and then in the years to come I noticed people calling me Master Chef instead of Master Chief. I thought it was funny and eventually changed it.
whoa..i dont need to write anything...its already been done!!
but i have since shortened it to Keyes
other names i have are Telperion, Bertwald and Anduril
Telperion being the white tree of Valinor..which i always liked for some reason...that and its the only surviving line thats still a tree, (with the surviving tree being a descendent of Nimloth the Fair which is a descendent of Telperion)
Bertwald was the name of my gnome warlock alt in WoW...he had a comb over....I cant think of any more awesome and fitting name of the great evil menace of Bertwald the warlock...
and Anduril was my paladins name in WoW and has been my alternate name of things ever since (sometimes changed into DNandy which is a refrence to everyone shortening my name to Andy...and Dark Nemesis...the guild i was in in WoW.)

My first online multiplayer game I ever played was Battlefield 2. (Well, actually it was 1942, but I never played online...) While I was making an account, I was watching Nacho Libre at the same time.
So I thought, hmmmm, and put it in. But then I thought I needed something more, so I added the 207, which does not say what year I started gaming, it was actually 2006.

My alias comes from the Band of Brothers character Shifty Powers. A modest and humble dude who had wicked accuracy with his rifle. It fit perfectly with my first online game, Medal of Honor (and then Call of Duty), being a WWII character and all.
During my time with those games, I encountered hundreds and hundreds of other Shiftys. Since then, it's become much more rare. Except for that dam Devil around here at the Ville.

Re: Explain your username/tag/handle
right on shifty...i had a feeling that's where it was from. shifty powers had some great stories to tell in books following the series. it's too bad we lost him this year.
when i was playing BF2 / BF2142 ...i would alias as GeneRoe and play medic. love what medics stand for on the battlefield. i'd also use the alias whenever i (rarely) jumped into a DoD game.

Re: Explain your username/tag/handle
Mine came from when I signed up at GamePark to play AoK:TC online. It came to mind from a recent game I'd played with my brother, where I'd taken a backdoor into his town and obliterated him, if I'm not mistaken.
I've used it or a variation of it for pretty much everything, up until I changed my steam name to Bosstone (part of a band name that I really liked about two months ago).
Not nearly as awesome as most of your guys' though.

Started during Dialble 2 and AoE. Wyo coming from my favorite state and wapiti coming from another love in my life, Elk
(Cervus canadensis), from the Cree language: waapiti, a large deer species native to western North America and eastern Asia
Since have shortened to wyo to ease the play in game. Not to many have got it correct so wyo works.

Re: Explain your username/tag/handle
HI!
So, when I first started playing TFC back in 2000 or so, I started with the handle: Kamikaze Kaucasian. Once I started playing more and got a little more competitive (got into CS as well), I wanted a shorter name that more people would remember.
At the time I was driving a VW Jetta and I had a personalized license plate that said "Jettah". So I looked out the window and saw my license plate, and I knew I had my name.
For the record, I no longer have the Jetta, I am now in a Subaru, but I still like the name Jettah...so I have kept it for like 8 years now.

If I remember right I thought of unsmart for starcraft. I was like 14 at the time and was making an alt account. I was thinking of making the name "notsmart" but then decided that was proper English and a person that was dumb wouldn't say it like that. So I came to unsmart. Also I watched a Simpsons with Ralph the night before and I think he said something that made me want to put "un" in-front of the name.

It's interesting that no matter what name you pick, it get's shortened in game in voice comm by other people. Then after a few years you just answer to 'spanish', which is strange because that single word by itself has no context in my real life. I still get a chuckle when kids come on and call me stupid beaner or some such name, too young to know the real meaning.
Along the same line as the professors or the doctor club, a few months ago I started a group of like minded individuals.
