There's a couple decent shows this season.
Kotoura-san gets special mention for being the comedy with the most depressing first episode I've ever watched.

Agreed.Bronze Fox wrote:I have decided to retract this statement. First 14 episodes, good. The other 11 episodes, horrible.Bronze Fox wrote:SAO is quickly turning into one of my favorite anime.
Also, my friend showed me Steins;Gate. So I've been watching that. It's weird as hell.

One of my favorite animes of recent seasons. I don't know how far into it you are so I'm going to refrain from posting much about it.Supreveio wrote:Also, my friend showed me Steins;Gate. So I've been watching that. It's weird as hell.

I've finished it. I thought it was going to continue being weird (and to be fair it kinda was), but then it got sad and depressing.frostdillicus wrote:One of my favorite animes of recent seasons. The best part about the series, in my opinion at least, is when everything goes to poop and it gets sad and depressing. It just becomes amazing.Supreveio wrote:I've finished it. Has no one mentioned Fairy Tail yet? That show has become my current obsession, even if the english does cut out about 50 episodes in.

I'm up to date on FT. All 172 episodes of it. It goes off air on March 30, in the middle of a damn story arc, because the show has caught up with the manga. Hopefully this is because the directors decided that filler mid arc never works well (I'M LOOKING AT YOU BLEACH) and they would rather go off air than do that.
It's a good show if you like the "infinite shounen" shows as I refer them as. A1 is a good studio.

Re: Anime Recomendations From an Old School Otaku
Spring season has failed even more than the winter season. Although I may have to watch Dansai Bunri no Crime Edge based on how ludicrous the plot sounds.
"The story revolves around Kiri Haimura, a boy who loves to cut girls' hair. He happens to meet Iwai Mushanokouji, a girl with long, beautiful hair who is known as the 'Queen of Hair.'
Her hair has been cursed to be forever uncuttable, but Kiri happens to have 'Dansai Bunri no Crime Edge' scissors that have the mystical ablility to cut her cursed hair. Kiri finds himself protecting Iwai from descendants of murderers wielding 'Killing Good.'"

So crunchyroll is stealing other peoples anime charts now? They want people to pay for their terrible subs then steal other peoples work. Classy.

Oh dear god bleach was the worst with this. No wonder they killed the anime a couple months back. At the point where they cut to the alternate reality with the soul clan princess plot thing (greatest description) I had to give it up.frostdillicus wrote:I'm up to date on FT. Re: Anime Recomendations From an Old School Otaku
Having never watched any Neon Genesis, I finally got around to watching 1.11 that aired on Toonami two weeks ago.
It makes me want to pick up the original series except it costs around $80 now. I guess I'll have to settle on the new OVA's.
