How long have you been a member of The Ville?

I’ve been playing on the servers since late January last year when my long-time online companion, Buzzy Beetle, graciously purchased The Orange Box for me, out of the goodness of her heart. I joined the forums a short while later, and lurked around until making my first post about a month afterwards.

In fact, a couple of weeks ago marked my 1 year villeversary. Hooray.

Name one odd talent you have...

The only thing that immediately springs to mind is my knack for effortlessly recalling vast amounts of quotes, dialogue, and song lyrics.

Unfortunately, my memory is somewhat less helpful when it comes to most anything else.

My dad always used to get all up in my fries about it back when I was in school. He was like “Son, something you something that something something”

I can't really remember exactly what he said, but anyway, it was pretty lame.

How old are you, where are you, and what do you do for a living?

I am 19 years old, turning 20 this year, and I am located on the Gold Coast, in south-east Queensland, Australia.

I am currently jobless, and have been for quite sometime now (my whole life, as a matter of fact! Don’t judge me...), but ever since I finished High School a few years back, I have been furthering my education through TAFE, a thing we have here in Australia. It stands for Technical and Further Education. I'm not gonna bang on about it here, because I'm much too lazy, and it would turn this section alone into a mighty wall of text, so if you'd really like to know what it is, go read about it here.

I have completed a Certificate in Screen (Which entails all manner of film, sound, and animation), and have recently begun a new 18 month long course to obtain a Diploma in Screen and Digital Media. Basically more of the same thing, but it’s more advanced, I guess, and it gives me another, better qualification.

Hobbies?

Playing video games, reading webcomics, and watching my ever growing collection of TV DVD’s.

I also enjoy drawing my own comics, and animating in Flash on occasion.

Tell me one thing you have learned, no matter how absurd, since being a member of The Ville...

I learned there really are fun, intelligent, interesting people who play video games online.

I had almost conceded that the very concept of well-spoken, educated people playing video games on the intertubes was nothing more than a myth - a fairy tale - but here you all are, together, in one wonderfully purple place.

Is it awesome in here, or is it just you guys?
