Beer made from Coffee! Only in my dreams has such a thing existed. Plus Kona is very high quality stuff. How much does it cost Keyes?
What is your favorite beer...

Re: What is your favorite beer...
I usually pound cheap liquor till I fall down, but somedays I like to enjoy afew beers by the bbq then fall down later in the day.
Das Echte: Malty and underhopped by american standards, it goes down smooth and is quite refreshing room temperature. Unavailable in the US, can be found in southern germany.
Sam Adams: closest american equivalent.
Pabst Blue Ribbon aka pbr or peebers: Cheep as hell not too nasty (Camo beer is perhaps the nastiest) Possible to get a good buzz off of.

Not too much i want to say 6-7 a six pack, its local so its easy to get...problem is pipeline is seasonal so getting it depends on if the store stockpiled it

Recently I've been drinking a lot of Newky Brown (Newcaslte Brown for the rest of ya)
But I am shocked, just SHOCKED, no one has mentioned Mac and Jack's African Amber. It is one of the tastiest things ever to grace man kind.
For all of you that love beer, find yourself a tasty pint of Mac and Jack's African Amber, you will thank me.
I wonder if I can ship it places?

So far my favorite beer from a bottle is Guinness. Favorite from a tap is MacTarnahan's Blackwatch Cream Porter. Both are great for cooking as well! I really like black beer like those, they generally taste like chocolate and feel smooth.
I have a friend that swears by Lagunitas IPA and all of its offshoots. It's a local brew and it is pretty cheap. I recently tried the "Undercover Investigation Shut-Down Ale" brand and was pleasantly surprised by it. While it has 9.7% ABV it doesn't taste like it. It's a good party sipping beer.
Only had Natty once in college, we had a couple cans, roommates and I decided it wasn't even worthy for beerpong and abandoned it in the freshmen dorms.

How in gods name have I not discovered this thread?!
When I'm not exhausted I must read it all and catch up.
My quick opinion:
I enjoy tons of different beer depending on the situation and mood. This weekend I had delicious 10 dollar pitchers of this local brew called "Crystal Lager" (named, but probably not made, specifically for my local apres ski lounge).
The next day I was putting back some Pabst, which for a 5.9% at 8 bucks for 6 cans is not bad tasting at all.
Generally I like my German brews, stuff like DAB/Paulaner/Loewen Brau.
mmmmh. I'm thirsty now.

It's all about New Belgium beers, Fat Tire, Trippel, Skinny dip, all are amazing.
Full Sail Amber is delicious.
Pyramid Hef and Haywire are both great too. I don't know if they have it everywhere but there's a great buy on Haywire at Costco. Can't beat it.
Oh and ditto Mac & Jacks African Amber. So. Good. I live minutes from the brewery
. In the last place I lived we would get kegs of it.

Then I remembered Shifty is in Canada. *Face palms self for being unsmart.
