This will be the first and hopefully not the last discussion and debate night at the Ville OUTSIDE of the forums using chat client AIM. I hope that people will let their views be seen on issues outside of restraints that limit to talking about certain topics. Of course along with discussion and debates come rules and expectations of etiquette even if it is on the internet.
Debates will take place on Tuesday nights
At 9pm Ville Time (CT)
That’s 10pm EST; 8pm MT; 7pm PT
Topics and days as follow:
November 14 – The War in Iraq
November 21 – Death Penalty
November 28 – Decriminalizing Drugs
December 5 – Gun Control
More days and topics will be added if these discussions become popular enough.
Rules
1. Respect each and everyone’s ideas.
2. No flaming participants
3. No personal attacks
4. Please stay on the topic
5. Keep the language to a minimal
6. If it is just an opinion, admit it.
7. Do not present opinion as facts.
8. Don't win a debate and lose a friend.
9. Keep your perspective; You're just debating.
Those who break rules will be banned from all discusions
You will need the AIM chat client which can be downloaded here at http://www.aim.com/
Once you have downloaded the client the chat room is called theville1
For some reason HTML is off so I cannot post the link of the chatroom for easy access sooo you will be doing it the difficult way.
If you need help in joining the chat my screen name is
Larceny Kills
P.S. can we make this sticky and locked? :)

Re: The Ville Debates
Before you lock it, for those of you who do not like AIM *like myself*... There is a program called Trillian which will allow u to use the AIM client without actually using AIM itself.
