inglorious bastard review

Post by !B a T m A n! » Mon Aug 24, 2009 1:12 am

inglorious bastards was a fantastic movie a great mix of a spaghetti western and a world war 2 movie, but in no way shape or form is this movie historic, which you will find out near the ending. im not saying this movie is good because of the killing, which it was good, but there isnt nearly as much killing as you think there would be. But it was written so perfectly and naturally, it was hilarious but still serious at the same time. With fantastic dialog that could keep u on the edge of ur seat with a few simple words from the Jew Hunter, this movie should win the Best Screen Play Award at the Academy Awards . Of course Brad Pitt did a great job, every one thought he would, he was the main comedy relief of the movie but not the main character. But the best performance in the movie imo was Col. Hans Landa (Christoph Waltz) a detective given the nick name as i said before, the jew hunter, who was sent to hunt the "bastards". He was a very charming man but if he wanted to could be the most terrifying man u could ever meet except to Lt. Aldo Raine (Brad Pitt) and his jewish bastards... im gunna stop now cuz i dont want to give anything away if i keep talkin.
but i rate this movie 4 1/2 out of 5 stars
2 thumbs waaay uppppp
tarantino's best film yet!

so if any one u guys saw it.. what did ya think?

I thought it was classic Tarentino or at least this will be the movie that solidifies his style. The David Bowie music montage was maybe the most insulting thing to watch. Over all, not much Brad Pitt in this movie. I'm somewhat under the impression he was told to purposefully act bad. Best scenes are with the german, Hans Landa, he does such a great job. Other scenes that have extended trite dialogue between lesser characters are deja-vu from some of the scenes in pulp fiction (Royale with Cheese type discussions.)

A good movie, at matinee price and it's probably doubtless that tarentino fanboys will gush over it. No doubt there will be an uncut/unrated version on dvd later that maybe ties it into a smoother storyline.

if you are american, or are part of a country that was in the allies, or just plain hate Nazi's(which hopefully should be everyone), you HAVE to see this movie.

I thought it was great.

"BINGO! This is so much fun!" Was probably my favorite line in the film.

If you haven't seen it yet, then leave now. Just don't pay $10 for a drink and popcorn, especially if the popcorn isn't completely popped.

Yea i thought it was a good movie. I loved the mix of "goofy" humor and "dry" humor. It was like others have said not what I expected from the commercials which isnt a bad thing. Lots of great quotes and stuff in the movie. I liked it!

Wish TF2 was a movie. Is that real, or was it photoshopped?

I just couldn't stop giggling at the part with Mike Myers. And the Italian part was just too awesome. The scene in the basement was really nice, it made all the characters in it seem human, even if the majority of them were minor characters.

This was three movies in one. The Revenge kill plot as one. The poetic justice , disrupt the nazi machine by using jews to do it. Please don't mistake what I'm saying as anti-Jewish faith watch the movie and you will under stand. and the third part is throw in brad pitt for a minor role in the movie. I paid to see the inglorious Basterds and yes that's how the title is written. And what I got in return was a revenge/spy film with very little nazi killing style. I would have loved this movie if the advertisments had not pulled a bait and switch on me. The commercials showed an action movie, what I watched was slow to the point with a few dry jokes. I wanted to see the basterds in action. Oh well I only paid 6 bucks.

I felt the same way. I seemed that it was made to be another Kill Bill with 2 movies and the studio said no. Could have been very cool if it was but prob not as successful

The best movie this year for me is Moon. Best science fiction movie I've ever seen. It's in limited release though so you may have to travel a bit to see it, but its definitely worth it.

I saw Moon, it was very good.

I also saw Inglorious Bastards about 3 months ago on Netflix, it was not good even though it had Fred Williamson in it. The dubbing was terrible, too.

Still haven't seen Inglourious Basterds yet, and as much as I wanted to from the previews, the actual premise has removed any desire to see it at all.
