Re: TFC Noob-Need Help
I bind a keyboard key to "primeone" or "primetwo" depending on nade, and then bind my mouse key or another keyboard key to "gren1" or "gren2" The prime key will do just that and then I press the other key when I want to release.
There was a very intense bind at one time the would prime the nade on the first press and throw it on the second, but I dont have it.

Re: TFC Noob-Need Help
Try this one Hamese, this is untested but I will try it tonight.
Put this in your autoexec.cfg file
alias newMethod1 "bind f primeTheGren1"
alias throwTheGren1 "throwgren; bind f primeTheGren1"
alias primeTheGren1 "primeone; bind f throwTheGren1"
alias newMethod2 "bind g primeTheGren2"
alias throwTheGren2 "throwgren; bind g primeTheGren2"
alias primeTheGren2 "primetwo; bind g throwTheGren2"
alias oldMethod "bind f +gren1; bind g +gren2"
alias switchToNew "newMethod1; newMethod2; bind / switchToOld"
alias switchToOld "oldMethod; bind / switchToNew"
bind / switchToOld
newMethod1
newMethod2
Don't forget to type exec autoexec.cfg <enter> in console to get it to work.

Re: TFC Noob-Need Help
I thought Id bump this and add some more just in case we have some first time TFCers wanting to play tomorrow night.
Heres a link to general TFC etiquette.

It talks about things like not spamming nades into enemy respawns etc. It has a short glossary too. I have taken the #1 most important point out here:
Im here to share any knowledge I may have on set up or gameplay. Please let me know if you need help with anything

If you've worked hard to extract a flag from an enemy base and you get killed on your doorstep (or even next to the capture point) and a teammate picks up the flag and captures it, don't be angry. Your instincts may tell you that it was your right to capture the flag, but Team Fortress Classic isn't about individuals. A capture is a capture, and you should be satisfied with the knowledge that your team is now 10 points ahead.

I never got very good at spy...
But, I have learned a thing or two.
Here's a good tactic:
Bind a key for "feign death;dropbag" (forget the actual commands, maybe DOW can help ya there)
When you're disguised as enemy, fake your death and drop an ammo bag. Gives a great illusion that you're a deadbody. Then wait for an enemy to run by. Then "unfeign" and run over and knife em in the back
And remember that tossing nades dont take away your disguise, and that SGs wont shoot at you either. Enabling you to nade unattended SGs freely.
OH and DONT toss the virus nades into enemy respawns (or any nades for that matter)

one thing i liked to do was when playing engie if i had full health prime a emp and just run up to the enemy and boom took a lot of healh off you but was cool but if you got shot in the run up stage boom usually turned it in to a suicide nade but still had desired effect on enemy, also having bags around the place makes the boom bigger.
Hey you Would'nt you like to be a vicious orange carrot too?
