Do anyone else get into a revenge rage

Does anyone else have an undeniable and unrepressable urge to kill someone who's been killing them repeatly.

I get into them all the time and it doesn't really matter if I like the person, THEY'RE GOING DOWN!! After a single kill (even if I get killed 10 times in the process) the rage disappears and I go back to trying to kill the nearest person.

Oddly enough Nick Mame and Infy seem to trigger this revenge rage the most (Nick triggers it all the time). If Infy triggers it, she is often a spy and there is also another spy on her team, that other spy will suffer about 3 deaths by me in search of Infy before I finally find her.

It depends on if I feel like the person who Dominated me earned it.

If they're simply being a better player than me, and earning their kills in normal combat, I don't get get too pissed.

If, however, they Dominate me because they're simply getting lucky with blind nade spam, snipings while I'm cloaked, or similar no-talent stupidity, I will do my best to make their life a living hell. This is frequently done as a spy, specifically hunting them down and backstabbing them a couple times, which feels pretty nice, though it has also taken the form of going out of my way to melee-kill them repeatedly, and other such silliness.

yea, i seem to always get a few people to switch classes to kill me, though i do the same whenever grapedrink or jerO_Omy is dominating me.

I have a similar urge.

When someone has half my team dominated, and especially when they're proud of it, I like to switch to their class and see if I can return their team the favor. That's why I get into so many darn sniper wars and soldier duels.

It's quite satisfying when it works!


But I usually ignore the lucky dominations. If a better player dominates me, I'll throw myself at them repeatedly but only because they're a better player and I like challenges. If it's a random domination, I just ignore them the rest of the match and kill all their medics.

I don't fly into a rage, but after Flobee kills me a half dozen times as a Sniper, I usually play Ninja Heavy specifically to try and kill him.

Itchy has also been giving me a few "Oh come on!" moments these last couple of weeks, forcing me to tunnelvision in on him as well.

I don't get dominated alot, but due to the erratic way that I pick targets, if I'm dominated I'll often find myself prioritizing targets that have the nemesis mark above their heads. However, I will rarely change class to take out a nemesis should all other attempts to eliminate them fail.

I try not to focus on getting revenge, but if I get sniped as a scout, that sniper will get his head bashed in.

The only time I rage is when my team fails to work as a team. I don't mean lose, or some people are just not with it, I mean when it is a complete and utter failure in every sense of the word.

I usually don't rage at being dominated, especially when I'm playing medic as revenge depends on your buddy finally killing that guy for you so you can get the revenge assist. I hate being dominated by snipers but I try to be zen about it and not just ignore my team role to sneak around and melee the sniper just for fun.

However, I will admit to getting way too jacked up when I get a postmortem revenge from afterburn 5 seconds after getting dominated.

Wow, you guys pay way more attention than I do!

The closest I get to that is when a sniper really makes me mad, I will try to back stab him or better yet, get the drop on him and axe him.

This is impossible for me on Warpath, incidentally. I can only do it on a few maps.

For me, it's not so much as "who" dominates me that bothers me but rather the annoying deaths that will occur when playing.

Getting headshot despite I was strafing and moving around like crazy.

Bumping into the same Pyro every single place I try to hide in.

Getting killed by a single crit of almost anything, even if I'm at full health.

The instant I run into a Heavy, he starts shooting and just HAPPENS to be critting.

Things of that sort.

Really, when playing Spy, the Nemesis icon will actually help me out. If I bumped into the same Pyro over and over again, I'll be able to see the Nemesis icon floating above his head from a distance and know exactly who he is and be able to stay away from him.

Just the other day on Desert Fortress, Torven was dominating me while he was Medic (Curse you, assists!), which allowed me to be extra careful when trying to sneak up around him and his buddy if I saw him run by, since I knew he would be spy checking all around him.

For the most part, I'm trying to memorize the entire other team and who's playing what, having the nemesis icon floating around only helps me out.

I try not to, but there's no harm in some friendly competition.

I actually find myself more "energized" than anything when I get dominated by someone (particularly a Scout), and I feel like it's because they are legitimately playing better than I am. The only way to get better is to get beaten down every once in a while, so getting dominated can be just the challenge I need.
