Well we knew it happen sooner or later... TF2 mods

Mr.Turkeyburgers (JD) will be pleased with this.

There is a very talented team working on a TF2 mod called Toy Soldiers. They are building alot of new models and textures that will also be compatible with TF2. From what I understand it's like the old rats map for TFC, but very very refined. Basically, its a house. You have to attack/defend for ownership of each room (a la hydro territory control) Check it out for yourself. Be sure to flip through the bathroom preview.

Will be released in two ways... one that will plug in to a normal TF2 server. An other that is a stand alone mod that runs on its own type of dedicated server.

That actually looks pretty sweet. I don't see why it would need its own dedicated server, and why the map just can't be played on a normal TF2 server.

It will have some different game play modes, that TF2 wont support by default. And lots of other class related things that TF2 doesnt support.

Several reasons actually:

1) The team I was on was getting rolled and we had only 1 Engy and either 1 healer or no healers.

2) I have been messing with the engy the past 2 nights. It is a more "laid back" way to play.

3) Losing 25 points everytime I die gets frustrating sometimes. I die less when I play engy.

Don't worry though. The Soldier will always be my main class to play. I have twice as many rocket kills as the guy below me ( who happens to be a RL friend ). I hope that people respect my play as a soldier, it's just that the past couple of nights I have been on some bad teams ( myself included as I have not played up to my standards ).
