How to disable F12 screenshot

In a game tonight Gizanked and others were asking how to disable the F12 screenshot.

In your steam client:

1) Go to Settings > In-Game
2) Make sure Num Lock is disabled
3) Set the screenshot key to Numpad 5 and the screenshot key will be set to 'None'

Tested, works.

Supporters and admins sometimes bind server commands to F keys, things like starting a vote or changing alltalk settings etc.

what do you guys have bound for F12 that makes this an issue?

i currently have a mouse button remappred to f12. ya know... a key that never gets used because it is soooo far away. That particular mouse button is my "spy" call in TF2. So last night I ended up with somewhere along the line of 15 or so screenshots that I didn't want.

Are you using Numpad 5 arbitrarily as a key that wouldn't normally be bound? Because I have something bound there.

Believe so.
I changed mine to the "+" that is the one key I cannot use, without trying.

I moved it to Num Lock, which I don't press because in the past it would crash you out of Source games... let's see if that works.
