Dear warpath2 demomen

I cant believe the number of you that still use targe. You guys are completely useless to your team. All you guys do is spam your 4 grenades and occasionally charge someone in hopes you might kill them. As medic there is now no one I can uber who can take out multiple sentries. I am better off uber'ing soldiers, cause most of you cant even aim your normal grenades.

It also sucks when clueless medics uber you, you spam your 4 grenades, then bust our your eyelander. What a freaking waste. This is making it a pita to advance in warpath, causing the map become boring.

I realize the targe makes you harder to kill, but remember you will respawn if you die.

please switch back to using stickies and being useful to your team.

Targe Demo is wonderful. I never use stickies outside of an Uber anyway. Pipes are way better in most situations if you know how to aim them.

I endorse this. I've noticed that there have been less dynamic games since the update; it seems like each side has 2-4 demos that just spam nades into chokes and hope for kills. Need more demos who know how to use an uber!

It's one of the reasons I have stopped playing TF2.
The targe, the eyelander and all the upgrades have made the game less fun.

stickies > targe

The targe is fun to play with. But it is really useless for helping a team overall.

Then don't be clueless. Next time, make an effort to check what kind of Demoman you're ubering beforehand. Strategize! Discuss with the team who should take the uber and coordinate a push. Don't just go "OOH DEMOMAN", latch on, and slam mouse 2. You could pretty much say there are 10 classes in the game now. The new melee-centric Eyelander Demo is essentially a class all on its own, since it takes on such a radically different playstyle, and takes unique measures to effectively counter. It's part of the game now. It's not going away, so you're going to have to adjust and deal with it.

This update has caused me to finally start playing the heavy, which seem to eat demomen like leetle babees.

What I really want is the Scottish Resistance. Traps man…traps…

On warpath, I agree - stickies are necessary part of the arsenal. They eyelander isn't the problem, the Targe is. It is incredibly frustrating for medics when your three demos are all running sticky-less. In lots of situations your best, if not only, avenue to breaking through defenses is going to be uber demos - but four pipes can't take out a decent sentry nest.

As usual, though, most of the folks that are going to read this are going to run stickies on Warpath for the most part, and if they carry the Targe will probably swap to help the team if you ask them to. The guys you're complaining about probably don't peruse the forums.

It'd be nice if the targe could replace either the sticky launcher or the pipe bombs. I'd probably like the targe if I could charge and launch a crit sticky.

I dont uber targe'd demomen. I dont have any control over what other players do. Just like I cant make demomen use their stickies, I cant force other medics to not uber targe'd demomen.

My complaint is with targe, not eyelander.

I spam pipes and arrows into choke points because I KNOW they will kill someone. There's no "hope" to it. :lol:
