Don't underestimate the holiday impact. When you're seeding with 5-6 people hoping to build to 20+, having just one or two fewer makes a big difference, especially appealing to the smaller set of TF2 players dying for custom maps. I can understand if we had troubles keeping the server full.
Let me use this excuse to say the holiday week I fell off the wagon of keeping server graphs. Since it was such an odd week I don't think there was much to learn from them anyway.
As long as I get to be PoTW twice in a row, let me put out an idea that may be too out there for us. I've played a bit of time in another very large group of servers during times the Ville is completely empty.
This server, if you play there, sends you an invite to their Steam group later. I don't necessarily think that's a good idea to lift directly, but is there something there we can work with - such as making a bigger effort to reach out to people playing in Customs with friend/a steam group invites? The Seeding group might be best to focus on those willing to do the dirty work of seeding and organizing . . .
*Stealth edit since I started before Nick posted* - We had some oddball round times this weekend, such as going 6 rounds on turbine. Not sure what happened there. . .
Also, I have have complete faith you will have zero trouble finding someone to replace me.

I've never seen an hour-long post draft before! That's some impressive drafting.
I was intending to invite TV2 regulars who join with <12 players to the seeding group. However, I hate random invites and always block them when I get them. So instead I've been working on my speaking skills (making no progress) trying to make TV2 more friendly and inviting for return visits. This is also the reason why certain unmentionables need to start speaking.
Our biggest problems are that half of our regulars don't speak, a third don't notice or don't try to end a horrific stack and a fifth are so incoherent or regular-centric that they scare random players. I am a happy member of that fifth and I think most of us fit into at least one of the categories.
Also since there is a complete lack of achievement with regards to our seeders, we're thinking of giving PotW to this twig. It's a very sturdy twig; it survived the war. It also makes a nice mantle ornament if you tie a ribbon to it. And what better tool is there when you want a dog to fetch? Truly this twig is the most distinguished among us.

A buddy of mine just made a new volcano payload map. It focuses on z-axis battles.

The gears in blue spawn also have "candy".

Well, it's a day late, but you didn't hear that from me! This week's TV2 Player of the Week is:
FERRET (+ TWIG)
Yes, that's right, it's a two-way tie between ferret and a twig! Very few people have gone above-and-beyond the call of duty this past week, so it was a bit of a struggle picking a PotW. BUT the Twig has put in countless hours seeding, has made dozens of posts here, and has invited hundreds of people to the Seeding Group. What's more, he's made 7 new maps all of which will be added to the rotation as of 2 minutes from now.
As for ferret, well... he found a few maps, and he managed to get them to me in a timely fashion, such that the Monday update could come out on time. *cough*
I guess that's kind of impressive...

If Glacier is going to be uploaded to the server, the map has updated to B2.
