I've only ever used two name tags. One was for my scout fish, and the other is for this.

This is my favorite pyro hat, and I finally figured out the perfect name and description.

All you Firefly fans will know what I'm talking about...

If I was to rename a buff banner it would be called the Toot and Shoot.

This is so awful, it's perfect:

Sniper Rifle:
You read my rifle's name
That's enough social interaction for one day.

I did not totally steal this slogan from a shirt I saw at ThinkGeek

To further steal ThinkGeek shirt slogans:

Any Engineer Wrench:
Engineering!
It's like math, but louder!

This is hard to be cool and suave while being informative at the same time. Goddamn my coolness.
In my experience, common sense isn't too common.

Got another one

Fists:
Lord Palmerston!
England's greatest prime minister.

Referencing this classic Simpsons gag

WHO LIKES REFERENCES?! BECAUSE I'M FULL OF THEM!

Your Eternal Reward:
"Spy: Be The Other Guy"
"You are now the other guy"

L'Etranger:
"Spy: Stop Being The Other Guy"
"You stop being the other guy. You're not even sure what that meant anyway."

In reference to Homestuck. A running gag involves the command prompt telling a character to be another character. It rarely ever works right.

Taunt: The Schadenfreude:
"The Chuggaaconroy"
"OHHH! WHERE YOU AT?!"

Reference: The Runaway Guys. Chuggaa has a tendency be obnoxious, and laughs a lot, often following the description text (which he yells whenever something goes right for him, which is all the time)

The Mantreads:
"Mighty Foot Engaged"

Duke Nukem. Pressing the tilde key in 3D causes Duke to kick, prompting the game to print "MIGHTY FOOT ENGAGED" at the top of the screen.
"So what have you been up to, man? Haven't seen you in so long!"
"Ah, you know how it is. Doin' a lot of side projects, some consulting, maybe a little freelance... Those are words that people say when they haven't actually been doing anything, right?"

Halloween is next month, and I had this awesome idea for a Halloween-restricted item.

The Master Mind:
"Freeman's Mind"
"I know its obvious I'm a genius, but is everyone else really this stupid?"
"My diploma is worth more than your life!"
"I have to blow everything up! It's the only way to prove I'm not crazy!"
"So what have you been up to, man? Haven't seen you in so long!"
"Ah, you know how it is. Doin' a lot of side projects, some consulting, maybe a little freelance... Those are words that people say when they haven't actually been doing anything, right?"

This is clever:
Dr's Dapper Topper/One rocket, two rocket, RED crocket, BLU crocket.

That's the hat's description from the Pirate translation pack mod which I may steal for use with traditional TF2 if I decide not to wear my smoking Cocksawin's helmet. The description is a take on the Dr. Seuss book title: One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish.

Hmm... I might use that for my Unusual Dr's Dapper Topper.

I just renamed my Brass Beast Маленький Котенока -- plug that into Google translate if you don't read Russian (and if you do, my apologies, I am just barely learning!)
Thanks for reading my inane rantings :D

This could go on any offensive weapon, but it fits a Sniper Rifle or Knife the best I think
Congratulations on your Recent Demise
It happens to everyone at least once.

This happens to be an achievement from Long Live the Queen for being killed that I thought was just rather funny.

I have two renamed weapons that are both The Office references.

My Strange minigun is: Dwight's Beet Juice Machine with some corny description of Fact. Beets, when you correctly can be just as deadly as bears. (or something like that).

My Strange Bot Killing Knife is: Mr. A Knife Bonus points for whoever gets that!
Beets & Potatoes & Peas can co-exist at:

I used to have a Your Eternal Reward called Your Social Security Number. Sadly, that later got replaced by my Strange YER, and I haven't had a Name or Description Tag since. I do have a Vita-Saw called Little Sister Wants to Play, but I never use it anymore. Also, I had a renamed Vintage Kritzkrieg, but I probably don't want to mention the name because it was rather offensive, and I restored it to the default name since.
