On a related topic, the latest version of Fraps has a 30-second record buffer, so there's a better chance of catching a silly moment.

On the minus side, at least on my computer, my frame rate goes pbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbt when I do that.

What's the benefits of using Fraps over plain old Demo's?

Easier conversion? Smaller file size?

I think it's something to do with better quality....often when you're replaying the video, the audio doesn't catch up with the video itself. On the downside, the files are colossal so you want to convert them as soon as possible. lol

Colossal is right, a 30 second video can easily eat up a couple gigs.
