An Opportunity To Make Some Quick Summer Cash

For me, the issue is not so much TF2 itself, just gaming preoccupying all of my free time. When I say all, I almost literally mean all. I do have a demanding, full-time job. So you can imagine that there's not much besides work, TF2, and sleep for me when I'm able to have accumulated 15 days play time since the last server reset. I just feel that my time would be much more wisely spent working on personal projects, reading, and just developing myself into a more well-rounded person instead of indulging my addictive nature in a very repetitive environment such as gaming. Hell, even spending more time at the card room taking money off wealthy LA types would be more productive (from a personal, and wealth distribution standpoint).
Thankfully, TF2 is the only game causing me an issue at this point. I too was an EverQuest junkie in its hey day, and its pull was significantly stronger. For those others who have admitted they spend too many hours playing TF2, or another game, I'd urge that we all try to find a more productive use for some of that time. Let's see.. who wants to learn Swedish with me?

Jesus Christ...
Wasn't someone saying games are addictive in the shoutbox back when they were new, and someone else shot them down?
*I said that they're addictive, and I dont know who shot me down*
It is called EverCrack for a reason.
and yes, as stated above, fil your time with some other activity.
I got into fitnees and am loving it.
Lookin back on it, i'd say i had the same problem as Flesh

Sorry to pull a bit of necromancy on this thread, but just wanted to let it be known that I'm ending the terms in the OP. It was a triumph, a great success, much was accomplished for the full month that I didn't play. I'll likely be around in smaller quantities in the future.

You just keep on trying, till you run out of cake.
Woohoo! A month. Supposedly it takes 30 days until something becomes a habit. Here's to ya!

Good job on your restraint, Flesh! Hope to see you in game in those short bursts and you've gotten a little rusty in that time. Lord knows I couldn't touch you before!!
