You can make class specific configs so that you can change settings or key bindings according to which class you are playing.

For example...
In TFC the soldier reloaded his rocket by hitting mouse2. Some people liked that. Before this update, you had to do some .cfg trickery for it use mouse2 for reload on the soldier only. Now you can edit the .cfg for the soldier only. So when you switch back to medic or spy, mouse2 is now "+attack2" instead of "+reload"
