It seems that 95% of the people I kick are afks. I consider this a good thing, because that means everyone is behaving...

Haha - I think what that means is they know who you are. I should just bug you more often when I get some one acting up. But, I have to say, people have been better this week IMO.

How does this AFK kicker affect people who alt-tab? I'm wondering because last night I was on a server (I don't remember what one) and I had to alt-tab to turn off a torrent so I could stop having a ping of +500. I came back to the full-screen game to find I had been promptly kicked. I was none too pleased.

Or maybe there's separe .script that's designed to deal with alt-tabbers, or mayhaps it's a bug...

I think it's likely that you just lost connection to the server.

It would be a longer period of inactivity. You should be able to alt-tab out, close a program and get back in with no problem. AFK's = a few munites, maybe even 5... or me spawning in a few times to see the same player looking at the wall :)

A lot of the old auto-kicks (not saying this IS true in this case - just something I know used to happen) would kick people if they had a high latency - also, when you alt-tab, your computer is going to report higher latency as a result of CPU usage. Maybe your ping hit the servers auto-kick level when you alt-tabbed?
