Re: Suspense
It's just YouTube's closed caption code glitching up, not a server address, unfortunately.
"So what have you been up to, man? Haven't seen you in so long!"
"Ah, you know how it is. Doin' a lot of side projects, some consulting, maybe a little freelance... Those are words that people say when they haven't actually been doing anything, right?"

We see an awful lot of Miss Pauling fighting in this one. Think there's any chance that we'll see her as the 10th class?

Re: Suspense
What do you want to bet that mutant loaf of bread is going to be this year's Halloween boss?

This is hard to be cool and suave while being informative at the same time. Goddamn my coolness.

Much as I want to see that, I think it's a little early to be revealing the Halloween boss, even stealthily. It'd be epic though, as long as the aging Source engine could handle real-time combat with something that complex.Zork Nemesis wrote:What do you want to bet that mutant loaf of bread is going to be this year's Halloween boss?

Can I retroactively declare it to be one, even if it wasn't intended as one at first? The Domer wrote:I hope that was a carbohydrate pun. Will T. wrote:Much as I want to see that, I think it's a little early to be revealing the Halloween boss, even stealthily. Re: Suspense
So did anybody else notice that the RED team base was in Hydro? Seems that despite the mode not taking off, Valve hasn't forgotten the map.
Seems that Nolan North (Merasamus, Bombinomicon, Redmond and Blutarch) was responsible for the Engineer's lines this time around as well, with Grant Goodeve being unavailable according to the wiki. Didn't even notice the difference.

Re: Suspense
Day 2, unsurprisingly, holds weapons.
We have:
The Back Scatter, a Scattergun that deals mini-crits to enemies when shooting them in the back or at close range, but only has 4 shots in a clip, is 20% less accurate, and can't deal random crits.
The Tide Turner, a Demoman Shield that allows you to retain full turning control while charging, and killing someone while charging refills your charge meter to 100%. Its Fire and Explosive resistances are midway between that of the Splendid Screen and Chargin' Targe, with +25% apiece.
The BASE Jumper, presumably a Soldier (and Demoman!) Secondary, which lets you slow your descent while in midair by pressing your Jump key.
The Classic, a Sniper Rifle that charges and shoots independent of its scope, but cannot headshot unless fully charged, and deals 10% less damage on a bodyshot.
The Air Strike, a Rocket Launcher that fires faster when explosive jumping and gains an increased clip size for every kill you make. But it deals 25% less damage, starts out with only three rockets in a full clip, and has a 15% smaller blast radius.
There's also four breadmonster-themed reskins for some weapons: The Self-Aware Beauty Mark, replacing Jarate; The Snack Attack, replacing the Spy's Electrosapper; The Bread Bite, replacing the Gloves of Running Urgently; and Mutated Milk, which (obviously) replaces Scout's Mad Milk.
And there's more achievements! And a sneak peak video of all the obligatory cosmetics they're also adding!

Re: Suspense
Did I read it right that you craft a box to make the bread items? I can't see a way to craft one, is there drop items somewhere to do it? Or am I just wrong?

Hasn't been released yet, probably going to be something similar to the ash piles or the curses.YoullNeverWalkAlone wrote:Did I read it right that you craft a box to make the bread items? I can't see a way to craft one, is there drop items somewhere to do it? Or am I just wrong?
