Current class limits for engineers is perfect. Most class limits here are ideal. Only one I'd like to see change is lowering the number of demos. Just way too much spam at times.

I wish we could ocasionally play with no class limits.. as you must change your overall team tactics consideribly to take on 4-5 snipers or 5 engies.

I just played a game today where we took dustbowl against 4 engies that were working together quite well. I love it when we get a challange and take it down

Class limits are fine where they are IMO, but I wish we could remove them from time to time... I love catching people off guard with a scout rush, all heavys etc. so why not an 8x engie defense on the rare occasion?

[quote="TheCarpe";p="86881"]Exactly. Team Fortress is balanced in such a way that there is nothing you can't overcome. So long as you work together, you can do anything!

Talk with your team. Working together, you can beat those Heavies.

You two don't get it....

Those 5 heavy's were on my team and were conceding all the points to just sit there and spam. It was terrible because they were purposely ruining the server. I understand its easy for the attacking team to take out those 5 heavys. My complaint was unrelated to that. But if people want to ruin a server they can do it regardless of being 5 of the same class and goofing off I suppose.

Eh. Odd tends to hold a grudge for some reason. I just use it as an excuse to set him on fire more often

Well they made it sound as if I couldn't overcome the heavies so I guess I may have misunderstood :P It was just frustrating that particular day :)

I don't like class limits, for the simple fact that it limits options. If a team wants to try a new tactic, let 'em! There is no tactic that can't be beat, and a team with a huge pile of some given class can be defeated by the other team adapting their strategy. If you feel your own team has too many of some class, that's an internal problem. Besides, we all know the joy of class-rushes (12 spies, 12 scouts, etc) to lighten the mood.

Recently, we decided to do a push on Dustbowl with 5 medic/heavy combos, and 2 engy's for support. It worked quickly on the first level, took a solid fight on the second, and by the third the enemy had adapted, and beat us handily. Instead of focusing on what we were doing and complaining, they looked at what they were doing and made it work. They won.

As for the specific complaint about hydro: as a Spy, there is nothing I like better on that map than a team that has no engineers in defense. I guarantee you I'll cap it before you can get back from the front line.
