sniper dot changed?

As some of you may remember, my hard drive died on me about a month ago, so I decided to change the complete setup. Meanwhile, afew patches and update were installed. Now, I'm back with a new computer, new videocard, new monitor.... and default settings set to high. I used to play with lower graphics quality. Ok, here is my problem: I played sniper this weekend and I noticed the small red dot was kinda smaller, and harder to spot when I aim. Is it because it was updated in a pacth, or is it simply because I play with higher graphic details now?

I haven't noticed a difference nor do I remember patch notes about it. Do you have a screenshot of what it looks like for you now? This way we have something to compare it to (our memories) and see if it looks different as compared to ours.

you have a new video card and a new monitor. Odds are you are running in A. the wrong resolution for your monitor or B. You are running in the correct resolution, however, your game is in the wrong resolution or C. and this is very likely, that you bought a monitor size that uses the same resolution as a smaller size, for instance 22" monitor uses the same resolution as a 20" monitor, so things look different on the 22 than on the 20

I'd say it's prolly relative to your monitor/game resolution...

Like said above:

If you run the game 1280x800 on a 20" monitor, the dot will be a different size than running the game 1280x800 on a 22"

take a look at the old vs. new pixels per inch (ppi)

I have played sniper quite a bit, and I have not noticed any changes to the sniper dot. But essentially, I will repeat what others had said, it's probably your resolution.
