Here to stay? Just being tested?
I personally quite enjoy the sudden death rounds on hydro, well, granary, etc. and would very much like to see them back in!
Maybe try making the sudden death round a bit shorter so the wait isn't as long for the early death sufferers? Or if the SD round is really unpopular and kept out of the maps, how about making the regular rounds a bit longer?
Rounds just seem too short to me and often end in stalemate (most noticed on hydro, I don't see the other ones very often)
But that's just me.
What are everyone's thoughts?

I really dislike the loss of sudden death for the map Hydro. All you do is battle each other and seldom does anyone end up winning before a stalemate.....
Teams quickly turtle if they are overwhelmed and then with a few heavy/meds, snipers and well placed SGs the map completely stalls.
Someone needs to go down and slap the idiots at Valve for being buttheads and taking that away.
If Gabe is reading these forums he needs to slap the dumba$$ that thought it was a good idea to eliminate suddendeath.

Ya, there's a big rant about it the mappers forums too...
the sudden death function is still there, we just cant fiddle with it like we used to. There used to be a good way to use the mapping program to induce sudden death .
Much to my discontent, Hydro is the most dramatically affected.
I dont know what the hell they were thinking...
"Lets change this cvar without updating the map so SD doesnt work! Brilliant!"

Thanks for the answers, I thought it was actually a server setting that had been changed.
I'm sure VALVe will realize they buggered it... one day...
