The halflife engine doesnt seem to like FSB/hypertransport overclocking. I had that problem when I boosted by X2 from 5200+ to 5600+. Now that I'm playing source exclusively it it no longer an issue.

Basically saying that the source engine is more capable of overclocking than the HL1 engine???

...for the # of players, I think 28 is the sweet spot. It does get a tiny bit choppy, but I can't tell if it's my comp or the server.

I didn't see any choppiness when I was in a 32 person TV1 several days ago. Probably your machine B :(
