to download the latest updates" when you try to import a .jpg for spraying ingame?

Re: TF2: Importing Sprays
You know, I've been wondering about that. I have yet to see one single spray in TF2. Maybe sprays have been disabled until official release?

Re: TF2: Importing Sprays
I get the same error message, even when I resized to their specs. I guess that's why it's still beta.

Load up your imported spray in a game like CS:S or DOD:S, navigate to your materials folder ( for CS:S, it would be C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\steamname\counter-strike source\cstrike\materials ) and copy the VGUI folder to Team Fortress 2's materials folder.
Assuming the server has sprays enabled.

Re: TF2: Importing Sprays
One Method:
#1 To get a spray working, load up cs:s or hl2:dm and choose a spray in those games. once you've picked and applied a spray, quit the game then...
For hl2:dm browse to steam/steamapps/yourusername/half-life 2 deathmatch/hl2mp/materials and copy the VGUI folder
For cs:s browse to steam/steamapps/yourusername/counter-strike source/cstrike/materials and copy the VGUI folder
paste the VGUI folder to /team fortress 2/tf/materials
Now run tf2, go to options and multiplayer tab (i think its called that) yoru tag should now be in the drop down menu of custom tabs, select it, apply and it should work.
#2 Load up your imported spray in a game like CS:S or DOD:S, navigate to your materials folder ( for CS:S, it would be C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\steamname\counter-strike source\cstrike\materials ) and copy the VGUI folder to Team Fortress 2's materials folder.
EDIT: I think Beeron and I found the same thread.
It's on now (if sprays are enabled on TV1,4,8)

http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/s ... p?t=599814
...and if you're really into it. Animated sprays will work like in DoDS and CSS

Jcom I had the same problem and I assumed it was the beta but on occasion I have seen people with custom sprays in game..........
I am not sure whats up, but truthfully I am glad they are not enabled as I am sure with the influx of new faces to the Villes servers we would be seeing pr0n sprays all over the place.

Re: TF2: Importing Sprays
kew mangs thanks for the helps!
pr0n sprays are bad mmmmk?
well if they are disabled on TV servers thats kew with me, prolly be best to wait until the
admins can kick and ban easier. I guess adminMOD will be coming out with something soon
enough, not to mention, custom sprays might bog the servers down while its still beta...
