Connection Issues..?

Alright, for the past two days whenever I join a TheVille server I have serious connection issues, but my ping remains low. I can join other servers just fine, anyone else experiencing problems like this?

I'm having issues with TF2 Rotation 24 player and 24 Dustbowl where the game will freeze and it was say connection problems in the top right.

Same here, but I only play on TV8, so I can't comment on the rest.

I have been having connection issues since the late May update. I can't play for more than a couple of minutes without getting disconnected, which is pretty much why I don't play TF2 any more.

I've had the same problems, but I figure it was my internet (still convinced it is).

I freeze for a few seconds, then bounce back into place (usually dead)...

I started having connection problems about 2 weeks before engineer update. What would happen is ping will shoot up to 2000, servers would not respond and no internet for anybody in the house.
Then after like 15 min everything would go back to normal.
What I found out is that when you hit "start playing button" it starts to automatically search for the servers and my router just goes crazy with all the request/recieve from all the different servers.
What i do is once server window opens up, i go to the internet tab and stop the search.

sounds like you have a bad router.... or internet connection. it cant be too much of the servers fault. they arent perfect but considering how many people use them every day im sure it works for almost all of them. try resetting your router before/after you play or if its more than 3 years old consider getting a new one. ive noticed routers have the shortest life out of any electronics ive ever owned. if its not your router/internet connection maybe something crazy with your firewall idk...

The steam server browser has been giving me trouble lately, too. It's probably not your computer or router's fault.

Nothing is wrong with my connection or my router. After the some update, servers started to refresh automatically, before when you got to internet tab to search for servers, you had to press refresh button to start the search.
Many people have this problem. It just takes up all the bandwidth while updating the server list and I have Comcast blast 20mbps download speed

Do a trace route to the server and see if any hops timeout.

Hey guys... I had the same thing happen to me after one of the latest patches. Basically steam refreshes the server list too quickly and it overloads the router.

You might need to still manually stop the browser also, mine was so bad as soon as I launched the game it would lockup TF2.
