I'm interested in the sound of it. It's not a WW2 game, so it has the potential to keep my interest for more than two seconds. I'd like to try a demo or something of it if i get time... as soon as I finish The Witcher, SMB3, and Metroid Prime 3 @_@ Oh, and Phoenix Wright 3
There's probably a demo on Steam, yeah?

Re: Call of Duty 4
it's next in my gamefly queue (...assasins creed will be waiting for me in my mailbox today) let me know the skinny on CoD4 when you get the chance...pros and cons. i'm not even going to attempt to play it in multiplayer mode but i can at least stomach the analog sticks for singleplayer. looks really nice.

Either today or tomorrow, A.C. should be in the mail!!!
As for COD4...
The single player campaign was just as good as any of the previous COD games. They have you switching between an S.A.S. commando and a U.S. Marine. The levels are fairly linear, but they’re definitely not boring or mundane.
The online multiplayer, IMO, was done real well. Similar to previous FPS’ there’s a rank/hierarchy system (just like RainbowSix: Vegas) where the more experience you earn for killing or completing objectives the more things you open up to use, such as custom weapon slots, and customizing the weapons themselves.

Since DOD seems kind of dead, I was thinking of trying COD4.
Anyone have a good idea of what level of hardware I need to run it decently?

DOD isnt dead, just needs a little kick start to revive it.
Overall, i quite enjoyed the campaign...
too much to download for multi, so not gonna try.

Well the ranking system for COD4 isnt exactally a "rank of skill" its more or less a way to track the progression of a player, well that combined with the players current prestige level.
Game is pretty fun but unforutnatlly its not one of those games I can play for too long by myself.

It's too bad that this game went "arcade"....
I tried playing it the other day (multiplayer) I swear, there is absolutely no team work at all. Might as well be on with 40 bots (I like to join a huge battle). It's not a realistic shooter (with regenerating health etc and radar) so people are just there to point and click, no strategy involved.
I will say though, that the maps are beyond awesome. The new ones that came out recently are even a notch above that. Too bad we couldn't get the same kind of mapping from valve (All though valve is close with some of their stocks).
I still have yet to try a "hardcore" server, has anyone else tried it? Is it better in terms of team play?

Hey beeron, hardcore is infinitely better. I'd highly reccommend doing it. Be warned though, I found that it...like many things is better if u at least have a few friends in your party.
It might be a little harder to get used to at first but give it a shot. I hated it at first, I kept dying like no bodys buisness... now I cant go back to regular TDM.
