Insurgency
So, it has a follow up now, and it's for sale on Steam right now. It looks every part what the original was, just better graphically and more polished.

I'm willing to buy a 4 pack if anyone else wants to play it. It makes it about $10 each.
I remember we had a fantastic server when it was originally released as a Source Mod. Any chances of that happening again?

Re: Insurgency
Yeah, you die in a at most 3 shots. Most of the time, 2 or 1. No crosshairs. Only red dot or similar. lots of iron sights. Taking cover and providing covering fire is very important. Half the time, you don't know who is shooting at you or who killed you. There is no kill cam when I last played it. A sniper really does wreck havoc on a position. Things like that. My most memorable time playing it, I was the last alive on our team, with no reinforcements left, as a sniper. I probably took down 20 or so enemies before being killed. It took 5-7 kills before they knew where I was. So, there was a solid 2-3 minutes where everyone on my team was just watching me tear apart the other team.

Re: Insurgency
I've never played 25 on 25. It's typically 10v10 or 16v16 or something like that.

Re: Insurgency
Is this based on the old source engine mod?
We had a server for it here once. RPGs were OP.

Re: Insurgency
RPGs aren't OP in the same way. It's pretty hard to use them, even though they are powerful. You won't find yourselves being constantly blown up by an RPG.

Re: Insurgency
I used to love this game when there was a ville server. It did have a pretty steep learning curve though. And everyone wanted one of the two marine classes that had the ACOG site... lol.

Re: Insurgency
As it turns out, I know the guy that did a lot of the voice overs in the game. Ya know, like when a point capture has been announced? I knew they sounded familiar, since he has such a distinct voice over Ventrilo.
