"In honor of the 10th anniversary of Pokémon Gold and Silver, Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver owners will be able to obtain Mew over their Wi-Fi connection using the Mystery Gift option. From October 15 to October 30, logging into the service will score players a level five Mew stored inside a Cherish Ball with a Premier Ribbon. As long as they have less than three Wonder Cards in their game, Mew will be theirs."

You can usually do it at a GameStop, too. I've even seen Best Buy have an event like this.

I remember back in elementary, somehow everyone managed to get a mew through cheats or the trading clone glitch except for seemily me and all I wanted was a mew.

I managed to get a mew through the global trading system but I'm happy with my new level 5 mew ^_^.

I have similar memories in childhood. Nobody had a Mew until a friend did, and then the cloning cheat was rampant. Wasn't even legitimate but we still wanted it so badly...

Now I have one, and not only that but anyone with an internet connection can get one right now. It's a weird feeling for sure...

I connected and it was like "NO YOU CANNOT HAVE A MEW YOU ALREADY HAVE THREE WONDER CARDS THAT IS TOO MANY GUY"

But then I found out you can trash the Wonder Cards, AND NOW I HAVE A MEW.

This is the first time I've had a Mew since back in my Red Version days, when I was in like the fourth grade or something. There was an event held at a toy store where this Nintendo representative dude had this rad machine where you could take your game cartridge and he'd plug it in and it would transfer Mew into your game. SO OLD SKOOL YOU GUYS.
