Played it off and on for a long time, there were a lot of really great mods out at the time. I would always still play morrowind over oblivion though.

According to XFire, my third most played game after TF2 and CS:S at 363 hours. So yeah, I've dabbled in it :D

Been a while since I've seriously played though. I tried to start up a new game a couple months ago but lost interest rather quickly.

Both it & Fallout freeze constantly for me (on every computer I've tried them on). They should make more stable games.

I have problems with Fallout 3 just randomly crashing to desktop without warning, but Oblivion has never given me trouble.

My Fallout 3 crashes out on me, too. Don't know why... Maybe because it's not legal

I agree. They took a lot out of Morrowind when they made Oblivion.
Sadly, I don't think I can run Morrowind on my computer. anyone tries it with Windows 7?

I've played it, but its really not for me. I'm just bad at that genre, plain and simple.

The game itself is fun, but it's dialog gets old fast. I think they only hired 7 or 8 voice actors for every character in the game. Makes talking to new NPC's boring and hurts replayability.

Yeah, I can understand not giving a unique voice to the hundreds of different characters in the game, but the fact that you can regularly overhear the same persons voice having a conversation with him/herself is kind of distracting.

I quit Fallout 3 because I got a crash to desktop at the same point, right when you leave the vault, every time I tried it.

I could never get into Morrowind or Oblivion at all.

I loved FO3, but it was just so unstable. There was never any rhyme or reason to it's crashes. Talking to a citizen in Megaton I'd talked to dozens of times before, crash. Walking across the wasteland with no enemies nearby, crash. Opening my inventory for the billionth time, crash. Fighting Raiders, crash. There was no one thing that linked the crashes. They were just completely random. It sucked.

That said, I still managed to get tons of playtime out of it, and probably will do the same with New Vegas this fall.

I don't know what it is, but I never really got into those type of games. I think I liked fallout because i loved the other three (and am like the only person in existence who likes fallout tactics). I played some of Oblivian (meh), Dragon Age Origins (cool, but also meh), and some Morrowind (vomit to the highest degree). Other than FPS games, I prefer games that move at a slower pace OR have massive customization in terms of obvious character skills, and not just gear. Borderlands was a good compromise, but the semi open world RPGs are not my cup o' tea. I really enjoy hack'n'slash games, but haven't been able to get into these. If I did not like those 3 games, but DID like KoToR and Borderlands, would I like Mass Effect?

Well Cpt. Winky, I may a solution, but not in the near future.
Me and a buddy of mine are going into video game design, and have already started making (nothing virtual yet, all paper ideas) the game. If you want, I'll post a thread, or here, explaining it a bit?

For all of you Fallout 3 guys who are having problems, this site helped me immensely.
http://www.tweakguides.com/Fallout3_1.html

I had crashes, but after I tweaked my settings in accordance with this guide, my game plays smoother and looks great. I advise you to skim through it and do the same. Might make it playable again for you, sure did for me.
