Trains are so much fun... Instant leveling up... You hit level 20 in under 5-10 mins of play haha

Yeah, desert is best place to level. You have the bandit leaders that have the normal spawn rate except they have 4-5 bandits with them meaning if you the game randomizes a high bandit leader amount you get a lot of bandits. Also, those are both tier 1 mobs (bandit leader and pincher crabs) yet they give (i think) 15 and 25 xp respectively. If you can actually organize a train to just circle deserts you an level up much quicker.
A few days ago we had an enormousness train of 20+ players hit the largest desert group I've ever seen, it crashed the zone. All of us were eventually brought back to the character select screen and no one was able to re-join that zone for awhile.
So I'm actually working on an end-game character now and I'm having a lot of fun fighting gods and trading potions.
For those who don't know end-game consists of many high-tier items and stat potions, these potions are the basic currency for the game, like Stone of Jordans in old Diablo II.

I'm still enjoying the mid-game tactic of leveling random characters to 15-20, and take on things I really shouldnt mess with, and see how long I last.

When you decide to finally make a character to play end-game take a look at the random stats and why you should try rolling multiple times to find a good roll.Soup Nazi wrote:I'm still enjoying the mid-game tactic of leveling random characters to 15-20, and take on things I really shouldnt mess with, and see how long I last.
Basically, the ammount of stats you gain when leveling is random. This wiki page tells you what you want, what you should look for, etc

A game where you benefit from dying...this looks very interesting. I'm going to have to try this out when I get home. Seems like this game would be right up my alley.

I quit after 30 hours. My main character died with a metric ton gone into him.Oni wrote:A game where you benefit from dying...this looks very interesting. I'm going to have to try this out when I get home. Seems like this game would be right up my alley.

Re: Realm of the Mad God
It's quite depressing to die still. I had an amazing assassin, second best dagger in the game, and 750 damage poison. Then I got 1-shotted by like 20 gods at once.

Yeah, dying is quite depressing when you have finally have some gear. Got swarmed by gods when I finally was getting some stat potions, it's just too random for perm death for me.
