Yes it is. I remember it now. I played an early version about 6 months ago and it just seemed, not exactly bad, but pointless.

I played a fair amount, but I haven't played since Ares was new. It follows the usual freemium moba formula where new chars are OP for a patch or two to get people to pay hard currency for them, and then they get nerfed.
