Beat Hazard

Post by Zork Nemesis » Wed Dec 15, 2010 12:22 pm

I only really bought this game for the Treasure hunt, but it turns out Beat Hazard is tons of fun, reminds me a lot of Smash TV or Geometry Wars. I look at the music I play when I play it, and I wonder what everyone else plays.

The Treasure hunt recommends busy music, such as heavy metal, but forget about that, part of the challenge is mastering all your music, even if it's quiet music.

I've got a folder set aside for this purpose, it's got remixes of old-school Nintendo and SNES games, among other things. I know I achieved my 3.7 million survival score playing a remix of Zelda 2's Temple followed by a mix of the opening stage in Megaman X3.

What do you guys blow things up to when you play, if you play that is.

This is hard to be cool and suave while being informative at the same time. Goddamn my coolness.
In my experience, common sense isn't too common.

I bought it for the Treasure Hunt as well and started playing last night. It took me a bit to get into but after a while I was leveling up super fast. I started with artists like Justice, Deadmau5 and Sub Focus but moved on to some Cascada (don't judge me :P ). I've got quite the eclectic music tastes so it'll be interesting to see how others go.

I think I'm gonna try some Zeppelin tonight. :D
