I have been playing this server consistently for about a month. I have 4 days of clocked game time. Everything is almost maxed. The only complaint that I have about the server is that the awp is banned. I understand why admins ban the awp on normal CS servers, its one shot kill. But on this server we can withstand two body shots of the awp if you have high enough health. I think unbanning it could pave the way for sweet sniper wars with the awp between higher levels. Just something to consider I guess.

Ive never played CSS till lately. (last couple weeks actually, didnt ever play cs either. lol) I wouldnt mind having it unbanned just to see how the weapon is.

I'm unsure on how CSS is setup server side, but can you adjust the price for that one gun and make if fairly high so its not bought by every single user?

Im not positive but I think price's are kept in a config file. If so, then yes they can manipulate the price.

I love the awp. I enjoyed doing scoutzknivez on CS and headshotting people on a consistent bases. I loveeed playing awp maps killing people with one shot. Ahh it was sooo much fun. Though I don't understand why the awp is banned there are servers I play on who add in the script of "passing the awp" on each team. It worked very effectively where only one team each could buy the awp and share it among themselves. Usually it would be after the person died the awp wouldhave a choice to go to someone new

Ya, that would be cool. I just would hate to see a server full of it myself. Thats why the higher cost of buying it.

I was going to unlock it earlier this week during one game but I didn't know the exact command line to type and I didn't want to go through my pages. The Mani menu was down do to valve being suxors. So, I wouldn't mind having it unbanned if we kept an eye on the usage. Or admins can unlock it if they are asked and want too (I buckle under pressure too).

Just remember people, real snipers use the Scout. Noobcake snipesalot uses the AWP.

Ok, well I just played a game or two with the rifles open.... I didn't quite like it too much. I think the auto snipe mighe be worse though. The AWP still kills me with one shot. I have 400hp and that didn't help, so I think we might need to watch this and revert back if needed.

It was too early in the morning, so I was misreading your post. I agree I see the restriction in the near future.

I didn't notice any problems with the AWP, but the autosnipe was being a pain in the you-know-where

The only reason these weapons were available was because I was updating the server throughout the day. I also forgot the restrictions.


For now its back to the way it was... restricted.
