IM Suite

Post by regis » Wed Nov 28, 2007 8:41 am

So I was told by the boss man that we need to download-install, and sign up for Skype...

I'm wondering if there's an Instant Messenger suite (ie: Trillian, or Gaim/Pidgin) that would include skype as well... I think we're mainly using it for just the IM part...

Now I know what some of you are probably thinking, why don't you use MSN messenger as it's already loaded onto you PC. To answer that, I don't know. The boss wants us to get Skype, so we're getting Skype.
I would just like to use me other screen names at work if I could... Right now I'm using a web service to log into my AIM and MSN messengers.

Thanks in advance!

Skype -does- have a built-in chat messenger system, but like other IMs it's just from client-to-client. I could have sworn that there was some sort of suite that had the Skype client built in, but I could be wrong. Or was it GTalk? I forget. I'll look into it as soon as I get home from Morning Job today... whenever that happens.

Google Talk does not have skype built in. However, it DOES have the cleanest VoIP I think I have ever heard.

Have you tried skype? I dont think you can get any more clear than that.

To reeg, I am not aware of any 3rd party programs that have all-in-one with skype included.
