So, I've been playing a fair amount of RL lately.
The one thing that bothers me about the game is the camera. I can't stand the Ball Cam unless the ball is very far away, but it's very hard to play without using it sometimes.
What do you all do to deal with it?
I set mine closer to the ground and farther back, maxed out the FOV (everyone really ought to max FOV) so I can see more from the normal view.

Re: Rocket League - Managing the camera?
I keep the camera mode switch key bound to my right mouse button (since I'm not on a controller), and switch back and forth constantly while playing. I prefer Ball Cam for most things, but if I'm driving away from the ball, pursuing certain high-angle shots, or participating in a kickoff, I'll swap to Chase Cam. I also will do quick double-click back and forth if it feels like my Ball Cam view is "twisting" too far around one way instead of the other, to reverse my camera angle relative to my momentum in to something that's going to work better for my next maneuver. I'm not exactly a good player, so I don't claim my actions are any great insights, but I feel like they help me.

This is all too complicated sounding for me, cant we just shoot the ball into the net like the good old days in cube soccer?

Same concept, JD! Just now your trigger fires your rocket boosters, and you hit the cube with bumpers instead of bullets

I forget my specific camera settings but it's max FOV, up in the air more then tilted down. Also no shake and stiff.
I like the ball cam in most cases except when the ball is above me then I switch off of it, I'm using an XBOX360 controller. When I get home today I'll add in my actual settings.

Re: Rocket League - Managing the camera?
I'm using the 360 controller as well. My main problem is that I can't switch the cam while boosting or jumping - meaning at critical moments I have to choose between adjusting view and actually making the moves I want. . .
I tried using the toggle ball cam version, but that seems even harder to manage.
I am going to try setting LB1 to the camera switch, see if that helps at all.
I haven't been able to figure out what shake and stiff settings really do. . .
