Ugh i know STEAM is really starting to get on my nerves these days to

Umm make sure there isn't a halflife update paused

as it's the base for all the games if it's not up to date nothing works correctly.

Sometimes when you enter a game to play it stops the updates and then you have to rerstart them manuially, because STEAM gets stuck on stupid.

lawlz my steam does the exact same thing all i did was just system restored it when it was working and it just works fine, if if u dont want to lose any files but it in a flash drive our just have burn data on a cd. It works for me i just burn it cd restore it then put all the files on cd to computer then just erase the cd with nero.

Maybe its your computers specs, our u can also try disk defragment it will take forever but might fix the problem, our restoring windows and having the backup files(ive all ready explained that) and install a anti-virus program called avg type in google avg free and u will find it (so no virus could have maybe got onto thoes cds) so choose wisely.
