I don't know a lot of the famous people on this list I found, but here are a few:
From Escondido, CA:
Tom from Myspace
Ken Block, (this guy, also founded DC shoes)
There's a few people on various sports teams but I don't know much about that. Not quite sure how famous they are

Sissy Spacek lives in Charlottesville, she even knows my sister's boyfriend by name and shops at the Whole Foods he works at. Also the Dave Matthews band had their start here.

Tacoma, Washington.
I think the most famous native of my home town, outside of the usual sports figures and stuff, is Dale Chihuly. Result: Our glass museum is bloody excellent.

Re: Famous People from your town.
According to a sign at city limits, my hometown is home to Olympic Bronze Medalist Lynn Jennings.
A copy/paste from Wikipedia reveals the following people, though I think many of them are (long) dead.
Emma Lenora Borden, elder sister of Lizzie Andrew Borden (her house is a historical site not far from where I live)
John Brodhead, congressman
Wentworth Cheswell, first African-American elected to public office, justice of the peace
Lynn Jennings, Olympic bronze medalist runner (1992 Olympics in Spain, recieved the bronze on the 10,000m run)
George W. Kittredge, congressman
Bill Morrissey, singer
Say Zuzu, rock band (this is a group of people)
William B. Small, congressman
Henry Tufts, thief and autobiographer

This is hard to be cool and suave while being informative at the same time. Goddamn my coolness.
In my experience, common sense isn't too common.

Well I know that Dave Mustaine of Megadeth lived here once, I think Porn Star Jenna Jameson still does.
We are a pretty rich city so I'm sure there are plenty of famous millionaires I just don't know about.
