That explains the flying pig I saw outside my window.
Regardless, will be fun to play, but expectations are low.

Re: Duke Nukem Forever
Though it never achieved the state of synonymy that DNF did, TF2 was considered vaporware for nearly a decade as well, and now here we are in a (mostly) TF2 community. I'm not prepared to write it off just yet...but I'm not seeing GotY here either (unless it's awarded simply for finally existing, which may happen).
That said, I still wish they'd have renamed it to...well, anything really. It's gonna be weird not having it as a go-to game to refer to vaporware

Re: Duke Nukem Forever
I dunno I think that having Forever in the title is somewhat fitting. I am looking forward to playing it, I have fond memories of playing Duke Nukem 3D on my parents Acer 486/DX66. Good times

Re: Duke Nukem Forever
Isn't this just really like the third or fourth game they tried to develop as DNF? At least they slowed down on promising release dates for a few years there.

Re: Duke Nukem Forever
I never played DN3d. I did beat the original sidescroller trilogy and play the 2nd side-scroller line.
I'd like to play this if it is available on steam.
This is classic low-brow duke nukem. If you want high-brow entertainment, I'm sure your local ballet or opera production or symphony could use the ticket sales.

Re: Duke Nukem Forever
The fact that it is Duke Nukem Forever is what will make it sell - everyone will buy it just to say that they own/played Duke Nukem Forever.
And exactly what Clay said - if you're looking for an intelligent storyline and carefully thought out jokes and/or are easily offended, this is not the game for you.
