Left 4 Dead continuously crashing out.
Left 4 Dead continuously crashing out.
Hey guys, has this happened to anyone else by chance? I've played the Left 4 Dead demo (upon which after exiting it I ordered it immediately btw) however when I played with some fellow villuns I crashed out twice, I then played with some other villuns and crashed out 4 times within the first 10 minutes. Now granted I can get back into the server within 20 seconds it's still a massive inconvenience. I was wondering if someone knew a solution, thanks! Hopefully it's hardware related and I won't need to worry about it upon next weeks upgrade but if it's software I may consider cancelling my pre-order because I'll probably still have the issue.

That happened to me the first few times I played. I think it's your system running out of virtual memory as a restart fixed the issue for me.
I could be wrong however.

Im confused by the processor part of his sig. Does he have 2 systems both at 4GHz?

If he hasn't installed the processor yet how does he know it will run at 4.0GHz?

Lol! sorry about the sig I updated it these last few days as the upgade goes through this monday and I was to excited. Currently it's a 2.4Ghz Core 2 Quad (which BSOD upon a 00001Mhz overclock
) a 680i board, and 4GB DDR2 RAM. Next Thursday-Friday I'll be making my Nehalem rig topic with pics and everything for those who want to see it (several have already said they want to so I figure why not).
All the 2.66Ghz Nehalems in all the reviews I've seen have been clock able to 4.2Ghz on air, so I'm safely assuming that I'll be able to achieve 4.0Ghz using a 2.93Ghz Nehalem, a high end EVGA motherboard and a Thermalright Ultra-120 Extreme 1366 heatsink. So in response to Clay's post, unless I get the worst Nehalem processor on the market (although I did seem to get the worst Core 2 Quad 2.4Ghz although it may be a motherboard issue), 4.0Ghz will be achievable. People got a 2.66Ghz running at 3.8Ghz using an crummy Intel motherboard with horrible power designs and everything. The Nehalems have shown to be the best overclockers of any Intel processor yet.
